Letters to ministers concerning Our atmosphere and climate 2017

Under the Environmental Reporting Act 2015, the Commissioner has a broad range of functions. Under the Act, he may produce commentaries on national state of the environment reports produced by the Secretary for the Environment and the Government Statistician. The Commissioner recently commented on the Our atmosphere and climate 2017 domain report. 

The Commissioner may also consider the implications of environmental reports, and recommend responses to the findings in those reports. On this basis, Mr Upton has written a series of letters to Government ministers to request information regarding any actions ministries and departments may be undertaking in response to issues raised in Our atmosphere and climate 2017.
