Letter to Otago Regional Council regarding deepwater mountain lakes

The Commissioner has written to Otago Regional Council outlining his concern about the declining health of Otago's iconic deep-water alpine lakes. 

He asks for details on how the council is monitoring the environmental state of the lakes, and what actions it is undertaking to address the findings. 

Otago Regional Council has responded with a letter outlining what activities they have underway or planned to enhance the water quality of these lakes.
