Address at the Forest & Bird Centennial Conference: 100 years of conservation
On 29 July the Commissioner gave an address at the Forest & Bird Centennial Conference: 100 years of conservation at Te Papa in Wellington.
The speech focused on how Forest & Bird brings experience and expertise together with local people and local knowledge to create real environmental change.
The Commissioner argues that excellent, publicly funded environmental information linked up to local knowledge, local people and kaitiaki, would enable Forest & Bird to make an even more compelling case to mobilise public and private action on behalf of the environment.
